Love crafts! So do I! This guide will provide information about the library's craft supplies. These supplies are available to use and borrow by current Hampshire students, staff, and faculty.
All requests to use the button maker must go through Natane Halasz nhalasz@hampshire.edu. Prior to borrowing the button maker, you must receive brief training.
We have a 2.25" button maker (about the size of the top of a soda can) and a 1.25” button maker (about the size of a US half dollar).
The button is 2.25" but the graphic needs to be a little bit larger so it wraps around the front shell (circle should be 2.625" & graphic will be 2.063").
The button is 1.25" but the graphic needs to be larger so it wraps around the front shell (circle should be 1.629" & graphic will be 1.156").
We have paper cutters that cut the design to the required size.
Only use regular weight paper (copy paper).
Students: On-campus use only.
Drop-In Button Making
We offer drop-in button making at the InfoBar every semester. Check the Daily Digest or HampEngage for days and times.
We'll have supplies for you to DIY, or bring your own design (refer to specific design requirements above.)
