Frequently asked questions about the library

Where is my course web site?

On Log in with your Hampshire user name and password and your course web sites will appear on the left.

Can I check out DVDs? CDs?

Yes.  All our dvds and cds are listed in the library online catalog.  You can borrow dvds and cds from any of the 5 colleges.

How many books can I have at once?  for how long?

There's no limit to the number of books you can borrow!  You can check out 3 cds at one time.  You can keep most library materials for 4 weeks.   Here are details.

What are the regular library hours?

Monday-Thursday, 8:30 am to 10 pm; Friday, 8:30 am to 6 pm;  Saturday closed; and Sunday, noon to 10 pm.    You are always to welcome the other Five College Libraries when Hampshire's Library is closed.        

Can I print, scan or copy in the library?

Yes.  There are copiers/printers and a scanner on the main floor, 3rd floor and in the Airport Lounge.  Ask for help the first time you use them.

Whom do I see for help with papers and projects for classes?

This is a free service that brings you books and journal articles that are not in the 5 college libraries, usually within 24 hours.
