Customizing Google Maps

In order to use Google Maps, you'll first need a Google account (i.e., a Gmail account). If you don't have a Gmail account, or don't want to use it for this project, you can create an account for this purpose.

Google Maps: Create & Edit your custom maps

To invite collaborators to your map:

  • Log in
  • Get into map editing mode
  • Click on the Share icon
  • Add collaborators using their Gmail address. Make sure the 'Can edit' option is selected
