Live Capturing

If you do not want to live stream to a particular channel or live streaming account, you can also live capture straight onto the archiving station's storage drive.

It is important to keep in mind that the settings are set to record at 4K by default and will create a large file, but you can change the settings of the live capture program to make it record in HD.

  • Use the archiving station in B2 to set up your live capture

  • Open the program Blackmagic Media Express

  • Go to Edit > Preferences

  • Select the resolution of your capture (either 2160p/4K or 1080p/HD) in the drop-down menu next to Project Video Format

  • Click Browse under 'Capture audio and video to' to choose where your capture will be saved
